Choosing Your Wedding Style
The good and the bad about style, is that everyone knows about it. A lot of people follow all the current trends we see on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, or in magazines. There are so many beautiful things people are doing now! Style is at it’s peak of being both unique and interesting. With that being the case, how in the world do you have a unique and interesting wedding that is still unlike the rest of the world?
I would like to give you just a couple tips!
First things first, inspiration is necessary, but give yourself time alone to decide what styles, colors, or themes you like. Maybe lock yourself in your room with some crayons to get those creative juices flowing. I would encourage you to wait and get inspiration once you’ve decided which route to take.
A couple examples… think about things you love. Do you love a certain color? Or a favorite movie? When you were a little girl, what did you dream it would like look?
All of the edgy, or exciting weddings you have seen elsewhere all have something in common. They did something out of the ordinary! Don’t be afraid to do “weird” things. It’s your day! We certainly will not judge you for a having a Beauty and the Beast wedding ceremony. (Seriously, we would love that)
Be careful who you ask for advice! If you haven’t already, you will soon find that everyone has an idea of what your wedding will look like. That’s great! So many people love you and are so excited for you! There is so much to learn through peoples random advice, even it’s unwelcome, be open to listening. On the flip side, if you and your groom decide you want to do a first look, you don’t need to consult your step-cousins ex grandmother.
Pick things that have a special meaning to you. No one has quite the same memories as you do. Include things that make your life unique! A special song you and your groom love, pictures of your life together. The possibilities are endless!
Most importantly, be yourself! You are awesome! You are beautiful! If you are yourself, your day is bound to be one of a kind!
